Botox
Botox functions by temporarily immobilizing the muscles it targets, leading to the reduction of wrinkles in the treated region. Typically, the full effects become prominent around two weeks post-treatment and endure for roughly three months. Following treatment, there is generally no notable downtime.

Hyaluronic Acid Filler
Hyaluronic acid fillers provide support to the skin by replenishing the body’s lost natural hyaluronic acid. This result in volume replacement and subsequently, a reduction of visible wrinkles. Results from hyaluronic acid fillers are noted immediately post-treatment, while the duration of results varies depending on treated area. There may be some mild swelling and bruising post-procedure, but there is no true “downtime” after hyaluronic acid fillers.

Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy treats superficial veins via the injection of a medication into the veins. These injections reduce the appearance of varicose and spider veins. It may be necessary to wait weeks to months to see a reduction in vein appearance and several treatment sessions may be necessary. While new varicose/spider veins may develop over time, sclerotherapy results most commonly last years. There is no downtime post-sclerotherapy; however, you must wear compression stockings for a minimum of two weeks post-treatment.

Kybella
Kybella is injected into submental skin (“the skin under the chin”) to destroy fat cells. This destruction of fat cells reduces the appearance of fat below the chin and enhances the facial profile. It requires several months to see a notable reduction of the fat, and a minimum of three treatments are recommended. The treatment results are long-lasting and last several years assuming the patient does not gain weight after the treatment. There is no post-procedure downtime with Kybella treatment, however, there is notable swelling in the treated area for 1-2 weeks after treatment, which can be hidden with a scarf.

Microneedling
Microneedling produces micro-punctures in the skin, which stimulate collagen production. This improves skin texture and soften the appears of subtle wrinkles. Multiple treatments (at least three) are recommended and results last several months. Post-treatment, there is minimal downtime. The skin will appear slightly pink for 1-2 days and then return to a “normal” appearance afterwards.

Chemical Peels
Chemical peels selectively damage the superficial layers of skin. This damage to the top layer of skin stimulates new skin growth, which is smoother, rejuvenated, and less wrinkled. Depending on the type and strength of the chemical peel chosen, the results can last anywhere from months to years. Depending on the chemical peel which is performed, a downtime of between 2-14 days can be expected.

Masseteric Hypertrophy (Procedures for Slimming the Jawline or Treating TMJ pain due to Jaw Clenching)
Botox can be injected into the masseter muscle to weaken it. This will decrease it in size and give the face a more slender appearance over time. While the botox takes effect within 10-14 days, it requires approximately 6 months of treatment before the face appears noticeable slimmer. Clinical results from the Botox lasts approximately 3 months.

Threadlifts
Skin laxity can be treated with Threadlifts. A thread lift uses sutures to “lift” and tighten the skin by slightly pulling the skin. This is particularly efficacious for treating the nasolabial folds and marionette lines (“smile lines”) in patients who do not want to undergo a surgical facelift. The procedure also promotes collagen production as the body breaks down the dissolvable sutures. Results from the treatment are immediately visible and will continue to improve for 6 weeks post-treatment. On average, the “lifts” lasts 1-1.5 years. There may be some mild swelling and bruising post-procedure, but there is no true “downtime” after Threadlifts.

Rhinophyma Revision
Rhinophyma is a thickening of the skin of the nose due to underlying rosacea. This excess rosacea tissue can be manually removed to reshape the nose and reduce the bulbous (“lumpy”) appearance of the nose. This procedure is done under local anesthesia. There is minimal downtime post-procedure, however, the skin will require 7-10 days to fully heal.
